Hi everybody im new B7

I use Photoshop 7 .

What is the easiest way to put another persons head on somebody elses body?

Do you use the clone tool then retouch the area?

Or is there an easier way to do this?

I hope this makes sense [excited]

Hiya dartgod, The easiest way is to bring the 'replacement head' into the 'body' image on another layer.

Open the two images and drag the head layer onto the body image.

Add a layer mask to the head layer.

Paint out the mask with black to trim away the background.

That's the very basics of it. Try a simple image to begin with.

I don't know what level you are at so this is just a quick description of what's involved.

Check out the 'Fodder' threads in the Campfire Forum to get some ideas, and feel free to join in.

Welcome to the board thedartgod :righton:

Al's way is also how I would approach it.

If you want to resize the head; select it, select the option Show Bounding Box on the option bar and drag one of the corners while holding the shift key.

Sometimes it's good to temporary change the opacity of the head's layer, so that you can see where you're going.

Sometimes it's also necessary to remove some parts of the orginal head.

Welcome to the forum thedartgod! :)

If you're into 'switching heads', you might want to check out our "Cannon Fodder" thread in the "Campfire Section" of the board. ;) Members posts pictures of themselves in the "Mugshot" thread in order for other members to "fodderize" (play and have fun with) them. 8} So don't forget to check it out and join in on the fun!

It's a great way to learn techniques, as have been described by R.A. and Gauss and, better still, a great way to meet and get to know the members... and, above all else, have fun! :D

In the meantime, enjoy your time with us! :righton:

I'd use a good blunt knife and some cyanoacrylate glue. and have the number of a good surgeon ready.

Just in case I glued my fingers together...

:bustagut: Erik, that was somehow the first thing on my mind when I wanted to post my first reply :D

Welcome to PSG, dart ....... the best method I've found for doing what you asked is to open the image you want to switch heads with, then open the other image you want to put the head on. Cut off the head on the image you want to replace the head on, then just use the Stamp/Clone Tool - click on the image of the head you want, and then just paint it onto the other image.

Ohhh, you mean in *Photoshop*?

I usually open the first doc, then the second and drag number two on number one so as to make it a new layer.

Then I set number two to some 50% transparancy and nudge head2 unto head 1. In come the Edit>Distort commands to scale and rotate it, and then I add a layer mask to paint everything out than isn't needed. (don't forget that a mask is a greyscale image so you can use every command you could use with grescales here too!).
Finally some Adjustment layers to match colour and contrast.

this should be my basic method, if I didn't forget to mention a detail...
