Hello!

I'm originally from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) in Canada, Ontario. Moved to a more remote area while attending a college for Photography, which is nearing completion. I've also attended another college for Computer Tech and Pre-Service Firefighting.

My goal is to run a repair shop in the City, while I volunteer at a fire department. Photography has always been a hobby for me, so this course is more or less for the soul. I've always been into the digital application, since I first touched Photoshop in 2003 with their release of CS. Throughout my course we have had lots of experience with analogue as well, processing/printing our own B&W film.

I must apologize, I didn't mean to throw my life story on the forum. I hope that gives you a small sense of what I'm about. I've been looking for a forum about Photoshop/Photography, or at least an active one at that. Just thought joining couldn't hurt. xD

Hi Zeke and welcome and type on, a little background is good.
My background is in photography too.
I shot B&W and did my own processing and printing.

Photoshop got me back into photography after a long lapse.

I'm glad to hear that. :)
I'd like to hear more about your background, if you don't mind me asking.
Oh, have you ever touched on Color processing/printing? There aren't many labs here that support it.

Photography was and is still is a hobby.
I was strictly a B&W photographer and never tried color other than slides.
I lost interest for many years but eventually got a P&S digital camera and a copy of PS Elements.

I've moved up in equipment and editing software since then but that's about it.

Now I'm more into editing than shooting, I'm a fair weather photographer.
I'm trying to change that, but that's the way it is for now.

I may go out shooting tomorrow if it's not to warm, or to cold, or raining, or snowing, .........
