Hello,

My name is Ross, I'm 21 and from Sunderland,England.

I've dabbled in and out of website creation since I was 14 but over the last year I've been more involved then ever,My design skills are way below par for what I need so I was looking for resources to help me and that's when I stumbled upon this forum.

I hope to learn allot here over the coming years so that I can progress my design skills.

I have one question I currently only have Photoshop CS3 will this be suffice or will I need to buy a more recent version?

G'day mate, enjoy and welcome.
I still use CS2 from time to time old habit and nothing wrong with it, so you are one up on me there mate, i do have CS5 which is excellent, but the good bread and butter basics that you have are good all round tools, besides it is better than Gimp :wink:

Your live pretty close to where I did lol. I'm originally from Co. Durham. Anyway, welcome to PSG and CS3 should be good to do the things you are doing.

Maybe post up some work.

Small World,

Ill get some work posted up in the next few days, Can either of you recommend some basic tutorials I should be looking at Mainly Text,Banner,Logo design is what I'm most interested in learning.
