Hello experts, I am here stuck trying to figure how to do that so badly.:( help c45c36433f644428e85cf2b88548a691.jpg Please:(

THANKS !
-Ray.

First, you'll need a shape to base your pictures from. I used one of these sunburst custom shapes.
You can use any shape you want to put the picture in.

Next, you'll need to draw out the custom shape to the desired size.

After that, you need to paste whatever picture you want on to a new layer above your shape layer.
Then, press Control + Alt + G.

This will attach the image underneath your shape. From there, you can resize your photo using Control + T to make it line up with your shape.
The extra part of the photo can be hidden by using a layer mask.

For additional photos, just keep pasting on top of the shape layer and the photos will automatically be pinned to the shape layer so you can resize and add layer masks as you see fit.

Here is a screen shot to show you how it looks:

I took a different approach.

First I found a camera vector.
CameraSunburst_01.jpg

Then I added a small white circle to the center of the lens using the Elliptical Marquee Tool.
CameraSunburst_02.jpg

I then began drawing the triangles using the Polygonal Lasso Tool. I filled them with black.

At this point I selected the white circle I made by hitting Command + clickiing the thumbnail, then I highlighted each of the black triangles one by one and hit delete. This rounds the ends of the triangles. Command + D to deselect the white circle. Turn off the the white circle.

Next I opened 5 photos of (Zooey) and then moved them into the document using the Move Tool. I positioned the photos above each of the black triangles and the clipped them by highlighting the photo and then hitting the option key and moving the cursor towards the line that separates the two layers. I also added a white background.

i used the same effect in one of my recent projects.

its just a matter of making your triangles the way you want them and placing the picture over them til they are positioned right then wand the triangle layer go to the picture layer and delete.

lamSam, from where did you get the camera, i couldn't find one :( ill be trying this tonight :D can't wait ! thanks all

lanSam nice tutorial ! but i don't understand this part -"At this point I selected the white circle I made by hitting Command + clickiing the thumbnail, then I highlighted each of the black triangles one by one and hit delete. Sorry so late Ray1, I've been putting in crazy hours this week!

Ok, here we go.........

The camera I found in stocks from a Google image search. Search for "vector cameras".

Here's a better explanation of what I did.

Step 1. Create a canvas. Place your Camera where you want it.
triangles_0.jpg

Step 2. On a new layer use the Elliptical marquee tool to add a circle over the lens area. Fill with red (I used white in the first tutorial).

Step 3. Turn off camera layer.

Step 4. Create a new layer. Use the Polygonal Lasso Tool to create a triangle. Fill with black. Repeat this step three (3) times.

You should have four (4) layers.

Step 5. Command + click the Red Circle layer to Highlight.

Select triangle No 1 layer, hit the delete key.

The result should be this.....

Repeat this step for each triangle layer. You end result should look like this..

Step 6. Turn off your Red circle layer.

Your end result should look like this......

And finally!!!!! Turn your camera layer back on! The ends of the black triangles should now all be contoured to the shape of the camera lens!

On to the Photo's!

Step 1. I found a photo I want to place in the first triangle.
PhotoClipping_01.jpg

Step 2. I open the Lightning photo into Ps. I the use the Move tool to drag it into the camera document.
PhotoClipping_02.jpg

Step 3. I place the lightning photo layer above the first black triangle layer.
PhotoClipping_03.jpg

Step 4. I use Command + T to enter the free transform mode. I adjust the Lightning photo to where I like it.

Step 5. With the Lightning photo layer highlighted, I right click inside the highlighted layer and choose create clipping mask.

This is what happens in the layers panel

Repeat these steps for each of the black triangle layers!
