Hi,

I'm trying to edit this picture so it doesn't look so square. This banner goes on the top of a homepage and on the top of the pictures, I would like to put a white background and crop the mountains so they don't look square, does that make sense??

Here's a sample of what I want the picture to look like but obviously a lot more crisp.

Try a medium sized brush with 100% hardness, shouldn't be much of problem with a steady hand and you still have the eraser tool.
Personally I would do this with a shape and an extra edge blur, but that would take me too long to explain the steps involved, so try my first suggestion, it's not as hard as it seems. ;)

I usualy prefer 0% hardness for creating nice fades between the foreground picture and white background.
