Help with Making Parody Action Figures

Hey, I am stumped. I saw these images online and liked them and would like to make some parody Non-MMA Action Figures of my own, the problem is I can not figure out how the actual figures are made. I have been fooling around with images and Plastic Wrap Effect to no avail. I have actually done some research and think the figures may be made in a 3-D program like Poser, but not sure. Any help would be awesome, Thx in advance.doll.jpg

Yeah i realise that Fatboy73, but the OP is asking for 'how the figures are made'.
 
Thanx guys Paul I found some great tutorials there I will use for the actual project, but after examining the images in PS I realized Fatboy73 is dead on these are regular figures with the cloths and heads shooped.
 
I too realised that, the info supplied is for your request regardless.
