As you can tell since I'm posting in the board, i am a noob to photoshop. I have been messing around with photoshop for a week now and I have done quite a bit of projects. I have mostly been following tutorials on how to achieve certain effects.
Recently my friend, a developer of a fallout new vegas mod, asked me to make a logo for his mod. He gave me a very specific idea for the logo that he wants me to make. Right now I'm having trouble with a certain part of the emblem. For this part of the logo I'm making a chrome/metallic looking oval with the words "New Frontier" written across the oval in neon/glowing/energy looking text (also blue).
So far i have finished the oval, and it looks great. But i am having trouble with the text. I have followed many tutorials on neon looking fonts, but none of them look good on top of the chrome oval. Most of the tutorials I saw were made with a dark lit backround. Every time i have tried, the neon effects don't look right on top the chrome oval.
Could someone point me in a direction of a tutorial that applies a neon effect on to a bright/reflective backround? Thank you.
