Hello, there are many users of this forum who are clearly very skilled when it comes to creating things with photoshop so I am hoping somebody here would be so kind and help me out.

I am owner/chairman of a football club in the England, UK called Warfield FC and we as yet don't have a crest. We're a voluntary organisation and therefore don't have the funds to pay a graphic designer to create it for us so any help you can provide would be extremely helpful and I'm sure judging by some of the work here this wouldn't be a difficult task.

Basically what I require is crest made with the outline of the current Arsenal FC crest (google search will find it or I can provide) with the text 'WARFIELD FC' arched inside the crest at the top and then a stag/deer (this can either be a stag head or a whole leaping stag many good ones can be found by googling 'stag clip art') and then the text '2011' at the bottom of the crest.

Our club colours are royal blue, navy blue and white. The way these colours are used would be up to you but I would like the main colour (i.e. infill of the crest) to be either royal or navy blue.

Thanks in advance for any designs people can come up with!

Design will be used as our official crest.

Many Thanks any questions just ask

So does this mean no one else should even attempt this?

Never ever assume people will be wasting time just because you are working on it.

Well, what I'm trying to say is... he only needs one logo, so instead of 5 people waisting time on logo's of which only one will be used, why not wait and see if he likes the first one.
I just say it because I often work on a request, and when done I realized others were working on it as well.
Basicly rendering my effort useless.

It wasn't meant in a huge ego way as pff, im better don't even bother.
Instead in a way of letting everyone know this request is already worked on...

Hopes this clears the missunerstanding

It's NOT your call to tell people otherwise...

It really doesn't matter if several people want to try this, it's good for practice.

That's what I was trying to say with my broken phrases in the previous post.
I wasn't trying to tell people not to do this because "this is my project!".
I'm just warning them that someone is already making it,
because I always feel like I waisted time if someone has already finished a request when I'm doing the same request.
It wasn't meant as a command, just as a heads up for people who feel the same as me about requests.

Hi Chrisix, many thanks for your work and time that logo is excellent!

Just a couple of things..

- Could you please remove the red edging and the white line

- When I asked for 2011 this was a typo I meant to say 2013 so could you be so kind as to change that please and also make the 2013 text smaller and put it in navy blue inside the stag at the bottom?

- Could you possibly change the font of the text to this (won't let me post links so go to 'fontsy.com' and search for 'premier league' you will find our club font) as this is what we use for all of our literature and we need the crest to be inkeeping with this, that link has a free zip download which I have scanned for viruses etc. and is fine I use it on my PC for all club literature

- One very last thing! Could you please make the crest with a transparent background instead of white?

Thanks once again I am very please with what you have done and can't thank you enough!

Okay, removed red and white lines
changed font
2011-2013

Chrisix: Members in this forum have learnt Ps by the virtue of Practice. I am not sure how you have learnt but we have majority of members watching you-tube videos, reading and making tutorials etc .. Are they Wasting time ?? Really !!!!
Have you ever been into an interview somewhere.. do you tell the other candidates that "Hey, I am up for the job, don't waste time and do something else !!!"

When multiple people for on the same request, they dont waste time mate... rather, they learn new techniques to accomplish tasks - and most importantly - The OP gets multiple entries to choose from. If your work deserves, then the OP would choose yours otherwise he would take someone else's post as his final answer.

If you want others to know that you are working on it, then you could have posted 'OP, I am on it.. would post my logo soon' .. or something like that. When you said
Before someone else wastes time making this, I'm already working on it
you do send a message that Hey, I am working on it, you stay away...

We are a learning forum and encourage members and newbies to learn as much as they can from all of us. You have been helpful in many cases too, so lets keep the aura going and make this forum a better place to learn Ps than anywhere else.

Cheers Mate !!!

Chitkaran, I don't think Chrisix meant anything bad by saying what he said he simply was looking out for others not spending hours working on something then going back to the thread and seeing they had been beaten to it.I accept both sides of the argument but what I do know for sure is that Chrisix is very helpful, extremely skilled and has done an absolutely superb job at the polite request I posted!

yaya, sorry that my bad choice of wording in my first post lead to all this confusion

like the new version more, run?

Ignore the last post I missed the new version at first glance, yes very nice indeed!

One little tiny thing - could you even up the text at the top so the W and C are equidistant from the edge as it is slighty un-even please?

I know this is picky so apologies for that!

That's absolutely perfect apart from the 2013 text being in the old font and not the new font. If you could be so kind to change that then it is spot on 100% perfect!

Cannot thank you enough, this is going to really help our marketing potential and club image/brand so much!

Yes! Spot on thank you very much indeed!

I am in the process of developing our website, would you be interesting in helping out with some graphics etc. for that?

I will of course be including you in the credits/thank you section.

If you did help out with the website I will include you in our newly formed club club constitution as graphic designer or whatever title you wish as some sort of payment or recognition as your work deserves it!
