I´m really happy that I was able to wrap a stone wall kind of thing around a face and skin. I was able to get rid of the original background as well, but now I think I need some kind of light source coming from the darkness behind that at least looks kind of natural, and I have no idea how to do that.

I would be grateful for any suggestions :)

There's a few ways....

Make a layer duplicate of the woman..... (Hide this layer so you can see what you're doing on the lower layer) ....

CTRL+click woman layer icon to select the image....

Fill with white... DESELECT...

Add blur MENU>FILTER>GAUSSIAN BLUR..... This seeting I leave to your preference ....

When done lower layer opacity .........

no just a white paint brush and splashed the area and put the layer on top in luminosity mode then used a soft eraser brush to remove the overlay of white on her

I tried, I´ll try again , but I don´t really understand. I made a duplicate layer, hid it, then I control clicked on the background layer. This made it look like no layer was selected and made it impossible to do anything after that. I´m sorry, I´m really new to this.

Have you opened the psd I posted? change the work space color if it is set to white, you will see the layer of color I used

When I opened the PSD, all I saw was the original picture, and a layer on top of that that looked empty.

there is white paint on the top layer change your work space to different view you will see it

close the layer with the girl (click the eye in layer palette window)

Ugh, I was able to make some kind of printscreen of your PSD, but now I´m having trouble posting it here, I´ve tried about a hundred times, I´ll try again sigh..
