Last night I was playing with the starburst effect and I tried to use the wind filter but tonight but it just wont respond. I know how it works and have used it many times before but tonight it will not do anything for some reason. Other filters are working but not the wind. any idea of what I should do. \:]

Hello Ferlin,
I dont realy know, what could happen to it. But, anyway. Check the for the location of the wind filter in your Photoshop folder.
/adobe Photoshop/Plug-ins/Filters/Wind.8BF - there must be located the Wind filter. If its missing, check you Installation CD for anouther one and replace it with an old one.
I hope its helps :)

Make sure you don't have something selected.
Make sure the layer's Transparency isn't "locked".

aaaand.... that's about it really. :D

Its strange- I added a little noise to the shape and it works like its
supposed to work. But on a shape with no noise it won't work. Maybe I wore it out I've been using it so much. Maybe it will decide to work tommorrow. AAAGgh!! I really use this filter alot. Oh wait- now it's working on small shapes (rectangles) but no on large ones. hmmmm... theres hope. you all can relax a bit an go on about your day cause Ferlin is getting it going again.. I hope

Remember that wind works from the light areas to the dark ones. you say "shapes"... you don't mean custom shapes, right?
