Help-- Spilled Paint Effect

I'm new to this forum but I figured it would be the best place for some help.. there is one effect i love and was wondering how to do it for awhile but no luck.. which is the spilled paint/spraypaint effect -- Here are some examples of what I'm trying to do.. any help appreciated -

Any advice would help a lot -- I'm trying to create a paint effect to use as a background for an object like the turkuaz image

there are spraypaint/ splatter brushes, vector shapes, and images you can use downloadable for free if you look online.
