Help Removing Lens Flare?

Hi!

I just recently started using Photoshop and am wondering how to remove the red-orange lens flare from this photolensflare.png
I've tried Googling my problem but even after I tried, I still ended up with a reddish halo around the area where the lens flare originally was and the color of the place I clone stamped is off. How can I fix this?

Thanks!

To make reasonable suggestions about how to improve the technique you are already using, we would need to know exactly what you have done, ie, a description, a copy of your PSD file with each step on a separate layer, or things like that.

In the absence of that, what I would suggest is to try tools besides the clone stamp tool. For example, the animated GIF below shows what just one single application of the content aware fill tool can do. The patch tool is also very useful in these situations. Often it is best to work your way down from major / large area changes with tools like content-aware fill and the patch tool down to smaller and smaller corrections using multiple applications of the clone stamp tool at low opacity. Work slowly!

HTH,

I also just made a selection on the right side...

Moved it to the left side.........

Used Free Transform to flip it horizontally......

I then added a layer mask and used the Brush Tool to blend it in.....
