Help! Problem with font

Hi everyone, I'm new with Photoshop, and I have a problem with putting a text in a photoshop project.
I downloaded a font from the internet, it's called Foughtnight, it's a TrueType font.
I want it set in italic, but it's not possible to set it, it's available only in regular mode.
But the same font with other software (word or paint for example) can be setted with italic, or bold, or italic bold style. Is possible to unlock it and have these settings enable in photoshop?
Or my only option is to write the text with a text editor and import it in photoshop?
Thanks!

Thanks all for the reply.
zoe20 I tried to restart photoshop but it still doesn't work.
Hoogle I tried that funcion but it only slides the letters a little bit. I need to set italic style because letters changes in that style, not only slides sidelong.

how about selecting your text layer setting free transform whilst holding down the control key drag the top right anchor point that will give you a manual control over the italic

THere is to much randomness in that font for to ever look good in Itallic as it is pretty much italic anyway.

Hoogle really thanks to you! I tried with free transform and I got it. I compared the result with the same letters in italic, written in a text editor, and there are almost identical!
