Help on Making an Effect

Hey!

So, I've been learning photoshop through tutorials on internet for around a year now... And there is this effect that I really like and want to learn how to make using photoshop

Can someone please help me?

The effect is this light and smudged kind of background:







Does anyone have any idea of how to achieve the smudge and light effect on the background of these images?

Hi Auron, there are far too many different effects going on in the backgrounds of the examples you provided and it would just be guesswork on our part to try and describe any specific technique.

I would guess several layers of different brush effects. Looks like fire brushes.

You should try to contact Pellex directly and ask how he does the backgrounds.

Definitely a flame brush... smudged and blended together and possibly enhanced with a Level adjustment....

Hmm, I see... mainly I wanted to know hot to make the lighting of the background... Not those little bubbles, but the light effect on the smudged part! Any idea of how to make that?

You can try white or 50% gray filled layer and experiment with the layer modes - multiply, color dodge - and lower opacity.
