Hi Guys.

I have one stupid question but I cant fix it.

I would like to make a square with round corners with certain Radius. I use Rectangular Marque Tool with Feathering set to some value.

The thing is that when I cut the shape from Layer I dont get a sharp corner but instead I have shaded corner.

Can anyone help me please? Thank you a lot!. Rectangular Marque Tool.jpg

Instead of using the marquee tool use the shape tool with a fixed size

Thank you. That was quick :) But I thnik I could do it also with Rectangular Marquee tool. Never mind now its working.

Thx

Yes possible but I was thinking you were Feathering the selection good luck

Am I missing something? Why would you want to use a tool for something for which it's not intended? The rectangle marque tool simply isn't the proper tool to do what you describe.

If you need a selection, use the rounded rectangle shape tool set to path, then make the path a selection.

Ok I understand.

But I have a question. What tool will I use when I want to erase certain area? Then I have to use this Rectangle Marquee Tool to select this area and erase. But I’m getting this shady effect also then.

is the layer set for drop shadow? you may want to show sample, instead of guessing game

try duplicating layer is the shading getting fainter with each layer?

not understanding here, do you mean the outside is not deleting?
