Help need for xmas

hi forum,
I need help with this logo for my mum's xmas present. Please can somebody make 2 changes to this picture, 1st and most important is to remove the line break down the middle so it just shows a clear logo and 2nd but not as important is to to remove the coloured ladder things next to the boy & girl.

Once this is done I am going to shrink it, print it off and stick it on to a diecast model escort van as my mum used to drive one years ago.

Here is a better one, i touched up the white and black so it looks a little cleaner and aligned it a little better, if you want, you could also touch up those red letters..
