I design brochures and other print materials for a race track. When I save them as a low res .pdf for the web, the graphics look fine, but the text looks like crap, especially when it prints. I am not the web designer, but would like to be able to build it and save it ready to go for him. Also, the files are enormous, help! Thanks!

Welcome to PsG!
Do you keep the text as vector? this should keep the text crisp.

I have the same problem, I just finished a program for a Hockey Game for the local Recreation Dept. The graphics (pics) are great but the text prints fuzzy. I didn't rasterize the text before I saved as a PDF file, but it still prints fuzzy. Any suggestions?

My printer tells me they use PS to get the images ready but do the text in Quark. Anybody know about this?

your text will be fuzzy cos its not vector...

i presume you have supplied this images as a jpeg or flat image...

try printing to pdf ( not saving as pdf) that will keep your text vector

or put the background into image ready then out your text on like that
