Help me create interweaving texture

Hello all,

I'm trying to create interweaving Spiderman 3 movie inspired black costume texture as seen here 1:25-1:27

I'm trying to create high quality pattern wallpaper from this. I have created pattern with gradient and applied it with Cross weave script in photoshop but result is no way near to what I'm trying to achieve I need more organic look.

This is pattern that I have created



Any tips how can I approach this task will be welcomed . Thank you.

Hi and welcome to PSG

I think you may need to play around with and add a Bevel and Emboss to the pattern after applying the gradient, here's a quick example

Thank you for your reply, I have tried using bevel and emboss but it still doesn't feel quite right , and messing with spacing in Cross Weave preset makes it look that patterns are not connecting to each other .
