HELP, How did I do this?

I created this Windows desktop background back in 2004/5 i think. I have since gotten larger monitors and would like to increase the size and maybe add some other elements. However, all I have is the final image, no source files or notes (HD Crash).



I started with a gradient going from blue in the upper left to white in the lower right. after that I don't know what the heck I did.

So if someone could help me figure it out I would be thankful.

Just to let you know, I'm trying to figure the effect out for you. It may take awhile.

I'm getting a bit closer, but I don't have it yet. I have not had the time to work on it.
Hopefully one of our other members will jump in with the solution.
