I am a newbie in photoshop..so I decided to take tutorials watching youtube. And I have a problem regarding this one.

Hope you help me guys..tnx in advance..
 
Just press delete to remove the black background or any selected area of the background. Alt+backspace will fill the selected area with whatever foreground colour you have selected in the colour pallet, in your case it's black.
