Help: Creating Sepia/Old looking Photos !!!

Hi again

All old photos have that sort of browny look to them, have tried fiddling a bit but they look crap, any pointers please any one !!!

Make a new layer, fill with desired colour, set blending mode to overlay. Twiddle with opacity. (Twiddle with other modes too)

or

Add a Hue & Saturation Adjustment layer. Tick the Colorize button. Adjust Hue slider.

That help you get started sooty?

There are others but these are the basics.

Here's an action with a bunch of old time vintage effects you can apply to your images. I got this from the Adobe Studio Exchange.
 
how do you use an action?

I looked all though photoshop and could not figure how to open or use an action.. I installed the one you posted here.. and I an find how to get it opened.. lol PLease help...
 
Hi,Mr. Duer

Did you look at your palettes located on the right side of Photoshop?

Click on the arrow and fly menu will appear, choose the Replace action and new window will become visible and list of all action, click the one you want and play. :)
