So, I'm trying to start a photoshop meetup group in my town but I'm having trouble figuring out how to gain interest. I ask my media professor and he says go to an established forum and ask for ideas.

Intro story aside though, I'm just dying to meet people with similar interests with higher skill sets or anyone who has good tips.

How many PS users do you have in your town? You can start with a small core group of friends and avid PS users. Discuss among yourselves what you want the group to achive and work from there.

Depending on meet frequency, hold discussions on tutorials or design problems they may have encountered. Come up with group projects or each member create a design based on a theme. Keep a collection of designs your group created and hold an exhibit.

Browse around the forum.... you'll find that what I've just mentioned appears throughout the forum - and even more.

Get your members to sign up here. The forum will be more than willing to help you guys out.

Hello, my problem is that I know there are photoshop users in town, We have a few graphic design places and some photo places that I've personally seen use it, but I can't figure out how to get word out so as to find the avid users.
