Hello Photoshop community! I been lurking for years in various forums for tips and tutorials and this is the first time I am actually joining a Photoshop forum. Looks pretty live here.

I am an artist who been drawing since kindergarten. I consider Photoshop one of my main work horses in my cg productions. I am heavily into 3D rendering so creating textures is a big deal for me and that's where I us PS the most. I also use PS to do sketches for projects and draft rough ideas.

Though I been using PS for years, I am now getting very serious with it. I have no formal training so the internet and experimentation is my school. I believe in applying various disciplines to further enhance the results I get when producing cg art. For example, I find it to be a great advantage to learn what professional photographers do when considering my final images and setting up a 3D render to do an architectural render. It took me a long time to learn the basics of PS and I'm still learning. I do have a lot of questions so instead of typing in the google search bar all the time hoping to find my answers where there are countless PS topics, I decided to join this site. Looking forward to interacting here.

Welcome to the forum, mistro.

I think all fellows here are self taught except for possibly a few. Photoshop isn't really taught in design school. The faculty expects its students to have working knowledge in it when they enter. Most of the times the profs will be telling students to "experiment" . My daughter took up graphic design and would frequently be asking me how to do this or achieve that.

Don't hesitate to ask questions even to the most basic or simplest problems. We may not know the answer outright but through tinkering your issue in PS coupled with interaction with the questioner, we can all come up with that EUREKA moment.

Enjoy what the forum can offer you.

Cheers..
