hello I 'm new and need help changing colours on a logo!

Hi, I'm new and also newish to photo shop. I have only used it for the most basic changes and enhancements, but am stuck on this one.
I have a company logo that was created for me about 10 years ago and the company that did it is no longer around to make changes. I have it saved as a jpeg image.

I have now completely updated my website and need to change the colour scheme of my logo to match it.
When I open it in ps and click on the layer palette on the right of the screen it says the layers are partially locked and I cannot see how to unlock them. Is there any simple way to change all the blue in this logo to gold / dull orange.

I would suggest having your logo remade, modernised and at a decent scale if you add edits to this poor resolution you will get pixelation.

But add a hue saturation adjustment layer select the blue channel and play with sliders until your happy.

Like Hoogle said, you should remake this one.
Recreate it as a vector (like the "M"and "A" use the pentool to receate) and save the whole new creation as PDF i think, so you can even have it printed for brochures and such.
The background of the big "M" and "A", you can make it different to what you want, like an image of a real mountain and use snow for the top.
Anyway you could get very creative on this. Use your skills and a little imagination. Also on the font you can do as many as you like, just play arround with it until it's suitable for you.

And there is my second attempt so if u want to change the colour just tell me and i will give u the psd file, cos im not shore about the colours and i will do some outline to be more perfect but just for now what do u think is this kind of a logo u want ? or not?
