I am following the tutorial at:
paultosca.com/varga_hair.html

(Skip the Maya Paint Effects section and go straight to Painting the Hair in Photoshop)

Here are the brushes it tells me to use:

I set all the settings like the tutorial said. I also used a tablet like in the tutorial. My problem is that the brushes do not flow correctly. Instead of looking like hair, it looks like sand. I cant figure out what is wrong.

Extra Information:
Program: Photoshop CS5
Tablet: Wacom Intuos 3

It sounds like the spacing need to be adjusted under Brush Tip Shape. If it was me I'd use fade instead of pen pressure for size jitter.

Thanks alot :)
That was exactly the setting I needed to change. I would have never thought to click "Brush Tip Shape" to get more settings. It looks like a text heading because there is no checkbox next to it. I spent hours trying to get this right and it was one simple setting.

Thanks!
