Green Screen Wizard

Product Detail

Could this perhaps be equal to the Croma Key in After Effects ... ?
If so - Chroma Key works well in AE, but I have very little experience of Green Screen Photography.
However - there is a Photographer in Sweden - Pelle Piano - who use Green Screen extensively.
Don't know what equippent and gadgets he use, more than camera, green screen and Photoshop, but here's his site:

once you have someone on a solid color screen cant you just use the magic wand to remove the background and drop one in??

Sure. Ones you've got the model against a contrasting solid color backgrond it's quite easy to extract the model from it.
But I wouldn't recommend the Magic Wand - or the Quick Selection Tool - for any hi-res or quality work, tho. The Magic Wand has been around in PS since ver 1 and has not developed much since, so the Anti-alias it produces is not really that good. It's more of a pseudo-thing. The Quick Selection Tool is slightly better, but it's hard to get a good quality edge from it for this kind of work.
For quality work I would go for either Color Range or the "old school" of making a mask using Channels and refine it with Refine Edge. In CS3 it's good, in CS4 it's better and in CS5 it's an awsome tool.
My Swedish collegue - Cindy Grundsten - use the Color Range and Channels all the time in CS3:

Thanks for your replys- i'm trialing the plug in- seems like its going to be of benefit so may purchase. Problem with the green screens is you can get a green cast on your talent and it can take me a bit of time to remove this so i'm just looking for ways to simply remove this with the less amount of time taken. Not sure of the website but if you google green green wizard it will pop up for anyone interested. Cheers - Kylie
