great photo effects - help

hi guys,
this would be my 1st post
i am quite familiar working with
PS, however I couldn't find away
how to make this kind of photo
effect / style. Any tutorial
available or idea ?

oh man.a whole host of filters

just playing around, while looking at image.added a bit of color

There's no way to know, like iDad said the image is too small but it doesn't look terribly complicated.
At least 3 layers, the team, a dramatic sky and some grass along with the gradient tool.

I'm sure it's more complicated than that, a larger image would help.
 
The overall look and feel was created by the lighting from the original shot, not filters. The grass is from a macro shot with a vector matte applied, duplicated and set into layers with a faint bit of plain ol' 10% opacity paintbrush between each layer. Filters (with the exception of high-pass and perhaps some blur) should be avoided at all cost to avoid the cheese factor. The layers were all color graded with levels adjustment layers with a 5% layer of grain put on top of everything.
