been playing around with this one for about 2 hours, designed for a PS3 theme hence the emptiness and the crossed blue lines.

alternatively you can use it for a general wallpaper if you like it.

i designed a PS3 theme based around Ghost Recon Future soldier, it worked and looked pretty okay for a first time so i am familiar with how it all works and the compiling and stuff ;)

the hexagonal pattern is a pattern file. and the logo in the bottom left is from the game's .DDS textures, of course the bert is a bert :P

Full Resolution: 1920x1080 pixels

comments pretty please! :)

no comments on where i went wrong or whatever?
if you have any, share but be nice, when i tell you to stop, stop.

Looks good to me, what flag is in the background? IMO the flag needs more color
Hey Inoob, thanks for Responding ;)

if you mean the blue cross in the background:
...PS3 theme hence the emptiness and the crossed blue lines.

it's not a flag, it does look like one though admittedly, it's where the icons of the PS3's menu are situated, I understand that some of the new Icons i have, are hard to see with a near black BG so i put in crossed blue lines to break the stalemate as it were, that and without them it just looks too empty and right hand heavy.

i'll lighten them up though, it's a good idea! ;)

The overall wallpaper is really good. I downloaded it and threw it up onto my screen, and its not over-intrusive at all. My desktop is usually in good order, but I split my icons into all four corners so often the really bright wallpapers cover them up.

Not here though! So good placement.

My only observation is of your soldier on the right. When you use any kind of posturization tool, if the cut or edge fade of your render isn't absolutely, positively, perfectly clean... its gonna pixelate quite badly. Notice the edges around the weapon area, and towards his left hand. Things like that, on such a soft-coloured and high definition backdrop tend to stand out and draw the eye.

I would recommend using the Noise Reduction tool on just that layer, then add on a masking layer curve adjustment to really smooth it out and level the shadows/lights on it. If you intended to have him pixelated and computer looking, then ignore what I said and well done! If it was unintentional, give my little tip a try.

Great work, and thanks for posting.
