Hi,
would it be possible to make guidelines stick at the golden section point of an object, like as they stick at the middle?
Thanks

Sorry, but it doesn't quite do the job, the link you gave is just about dividing the canvas, it doesn't touch on the subject of guides in any form... thanks anyway, another solution would be appreciated, though.

Hi cnaeus,

If I'm understanding you correctly, what your asking is can the guidelines "snap to" feature be set up to "snap to" the focal point of the Fibionacci spiral. As far as I know it can't, but someone else with more experience with Photoshop may know a way to do this. This focal point would be way to varied to have just one snap point.

As Paul suggests, knowledge of the concept is the best way to locate the golden section of any project and then manually move the guidelines to that point. Sorry, not much help.

Thanks for the replies. The only thing I found helpful on the net regarding this subject, was a picture called "golden ruler" quantumbalancing.com/images/goldenruler.jpg - it can be used in photoshop as a transparent background, or as a transparent object, and use it literally as I would use a ruler, measuring any object against it by putting them in alignment.
