"Game of Thrones" photoshop request (background removal)

I would like to place the attached image on a shirt I am making. Could someone kindly assist and remove the white background as well as "HBO" and "#Gameofthrones"? If the lighting and subtle color at the bottom can be kept, that would be great, too.

Thanks in advance if you can help.

this is about the best i could do with a quick effort. the dusty stuff at the bottom is a nightmare, as is the hair on the head. it'll look good on a white or transparent background, but it'll take some work to look good on any other color. Lots of white halos.

i did my best, but the magic wand tool only goes so far :<

We can all say that mate, sadly the internet even if you chat in pm rooms with others still gives you no real insight into the persons morals/intentions what ever.
This is a forum board and that was my opinion.
Your problem not mine, if the corporation comes a knocking:bustagut:

Also, this is HBO online-only, promotional material that is not copyrighted. In fact, HBO encouraged fans to created their own posters using this picture as a template to photoshop their heads in place of Ned Stark's.

Nice. Here is an article from The Hollywood Reporter regarding the image and HBO encouraging fans to manipulate it:

"The king can do as he likes." And that includes having lead characters decapitated.
There is little subtlety in HBO's latest ad for Season 2 of Game of Thrones, which shows the disembodied head of late Lord Ned Stark (Sean Bean) on a spike. The teaser poster recalls one of the first season's most surprising dispatches.

Ahead of the April 1 return, the poster gets an official unveiling at this weekend's WonderCon in Anaheim, Calif.. Fans will be able to take a photo with their face swapped in for Ned's and send them to the series' Facebook page.
It's hardly as glamorous as posing on the Iron Throne, but that probably won't stop it from seeing a lot of traffic.

Many thanks for your work, Nanako. Would you be able to upload the picture in its full size (2025px × 3000px)?

Oh darn.
i didn't realise there was a bigger versioon of it attached to the post. I just did rightclick > save image as, and it gave me at that size.

i don't feel up to doing it again :<
i mostly used the magic wand tool with a tolerance of 40, to select and remove the white parts. and select colour for the bottom stuff.

copyrighted legalities again.

with all due respect, that neither makes the slightest bit of difference, nor it is any of your (or mine!) business.

We can photoshop any picture, any way we like, for any reason. If the OP is putting it on tshirts and selling them, without permission from the company, then THAT is where copyright law becomes a problem. In that case, it's HIS problem, not ours. He never indicated as such, and we have no way to prove what he'll do with it, so worrying about the question here is moot. :p
