Futuristic Jail Cell Window

I said I was thinking of doing a sci-fi themed manipulation. I decided to do a jail cell window. I only used two stock images. The metal wall is a stock I have, but forgot where it came from. The city out side the window came from here http://www.ankaris.com/blog/2011/02/futuristic-city/ . The rest came from the shapes tool and paint brush tool. I worked on it all day on and off so I hopefully didn't mess something up.

Looks pretty good Andrew! Just one question, are you intending to have the window frame look as though it is hovering off the wall?

no, didn't even realize it looked that way. I just wanted it to kind of stick out from the wall a little.

I actually kinda like the effect. It really plays into your theme of being a futuristic cell. In my imagination the entire window can be moved and placed elsewhere by the prisoner!

But if your wanting it to just stick out a little, make the drop shadow outside the frame real tight.

I really like the first version your posted.

The windows frame and bars appear to float in the image. A bit of texture overlay on the window frame and bars using a displacement map will bring the image together.

Did a few changes.

The texture on the last image is a bit aggressive, it diminishes the nice shading you had inside the frame. It looks flat now.

I like the way you tightened the drop shadow. It could be a little darker and softened ever so slightly.
