Hey guys. Figured I'd post a bit of an intro before I dove in face first. My name's Melissa, although I prefer Mel, I'm 32, and I've been web coding and destroying pixels on/off for the better part of the last 14 years. I started with avatars back when Excite owned Virtual Places (graphical chat client) and have been in a colorful whirlwind ever since. I recently made the jump from Gimp back into Photoshop with the upgrade to CS6 (that buy CS5 and get CS6 free was like dangling cheese to a mouse). Currently at my disposal are Photoshop, Inkscape, Apophysis, Daz Studio, Blender, Sculptris, a Canon T2i, drills and human flesh.

I missed the community atmosphere, and Deviantart is feeling more like late 90s yahoo chat, so I went on the hunt and found this place.

Welcome Vaskania. I hope you like it here. You will find lots of like minded artists and people with a range of experience of 2 weeks in Photoshop to years of experience in digital art as you have.
