Hey Chris,

If I'm being honest, I'm not feeling the composition at all, although I kinda get where you were heading with it. LeRoi Moore will be missed.

I won't offer suggestions since you did not ask for them.

Ok, just remember, this are just opinions and observations so take them with a grain of salt.

LeRoi should be the primary focus of the comp and not a field and a rainbow.

The white arrow shows a hard edge from his photo that is not blended well.

I would move him to the left side and place him in front of the rainbow. I would also enlarge him a bit and crop the width of the canvas, it's too wide. I would tone down the rainbow.

The red arrow shows a very hard edge between the sky and the field, this needs to be softened and blended better.

The blue arrow is pointing to what looks like two accidental brush clicks that need to be removed.

I think the raven said it best, when it quoth 'Nevermore', with LeRoi Moore dying over 4 years ago, which brings me to my question. What is this meant to be for? Is this just a bit of something to practise Photoshop, or is it for something a bit more important.

You need to click the layer mask thumbnail, and paint over it with black using the paint brush.

I would also recommend you learn how to use the pen tool to make selections.
