flash menu with glow and fade effect

hello guys
here is wat i want..i want two flash menus one vertical and other horizontal. I need help with one other is the same.
So lets talk about the horizontal menu using flash.
The menu is a rectangle bar which is transparent(not a problem) it has links like Home, Contact Us etc. which look like just simple text in a rectangular bar but when mouse is over any link, that particular button glows(i also want text to glow too) and fades away when u move away from button/link.
Here you need to see the flash file attached. In that flash file there are two buttons, i want my menu to be like these buttons which are transparent.
when you hover on any button, the button glows and when move away from it , it fades away.
i want that glow and fade effect over each of my link/buttons when hovered upon and move away respt.
Now wat i want the whole menu bar to look is just like text in the button, assuming that each word in that button is a different link and the glow and fade effect (which both buttons have) appears only on the link mouse hovers upon.
So the whole bar remains transparent all the time with all the links on it and when mouse hovers on any of the link it(the link) glows and then fades away when mouse moves away.
hope i made myself clear
im not familer with flash, the falsh file i have attached is created by me after taking a few tutorials but when i try to do what i want things go crazy!!
ALSO: the flash file has buttons which glow but if u hold ur cursor over the button(for a few sec) then u`ll see it is sort of blinking. i dont want that and i dont know why and how is that happening, the tutorial i learned it from did not had that effect still figuring that out too.

ok guys the blinking problem was due to the stop(); function, so that is solved.
But the main problem still stays, but now the situation is different..
i think i got what wanted but the transition happens instantly..i want it to be slower and smoother
take a look at the file attached..
