First Sci-Fi Themed Manip

Very nice Inkz, I think you should do more of these. The shadow of the guy needs a little work though. Try duplicating the shadow, add more gaussian blur then add a gradient between the two (if that makes sense). As shadows get blurrier and softer the further the distance from the object. As well as a gradient for opacity.

Thanks RT...

That shadow is bugging me also lol. I will slap a better looking shadow on the next time I open the psd.

I like the tones and the effects you created. Good stock images and great combination. Very different composition and theme for sure, but you certainly pulled it off quite well. Bravo Inkz.

damn man youve improved since i was last on here, and i didnt think it was possible, looks like a photo!

I wouldn't have said that to you Inkz - because I didn't think of it! - but it is a gr8 thing about this forum that it stimulates us to create, to write tutorials (in your case make vids), to rethink, to pick up techniques that have gone into the round file, find new ones, and really get into our craft. I came on about 2 years ago and you have said it to me, that in the time you've been here my manipulations have gotten better, and ty for that. I have improved in many areas. Everybody's examples have helped me along the way. I've never been able to get out of my own slump with logos looking kinda of kid-style (which is sometimes appropriate), but I have picked up many pointers along the way and I am even making somewhat more slick logos than before IMHO, lol.

Anyway, congrats to you and to all of us. It is a fine piece and once again we are inspired, a least I am inspired (and IK I'm not alone in this) by your work.

And yeah bonedog, nice to see you again. I hope you're with us for awhile. Your work is also a std for others to achieve, so stick around and post your stuff.
