First attempt to create a business card

Hello

This is my first post and my first work. I'm a newbie, but had an idea for a business card, so this is what I created:



Short explanation: Text says in polish something like "I'm John Smith and i'm installing doors and windows". This is meant as a bc for a guy that does such things. In polish it sounds better.

Also it is not a work for an actual client. This is just a concept I'm playing with.

I'm pretty satisfied by the overal idea that I have, but not by the way it is done. It lacks something, and looks a bit unnatural.

So I'd like to ask you for any comments and suggestions.

I would take the embossing off Jan Kow and make it clean cut straight forward text (fancy but clean) just my first thought. Welcome to the forums!

I really like the handle though i think the hinges and the wood texture need some work

I agree... Don't use scripts for the name.

I would suggest using a real wood texture image of lighter color while maintaining the drawing you have done.

I think it needs more depth myself. It just looks so flat.
