filters greyed out

anyone have this prob, most of the filters greyed out but not on all pics?

Bob, you're probably working with 16bits/channel. If that's the case then a few filters will be greyed out (not all filters work with 16bits) and you have to change the setting to 8bits/channel under image/mode.
