Hello Everyone,

I have a question that I don't know if it's possible to answer, but let's try!
- I have two layers which I want to combine. The first layer is form by black lines (in my example are blurred, but this is not necessary) which each one act as a "way" that are to be filled with the second layer that is just a line textured.

Images attached, shows what I want to do automatically (in my example, I made the process manually, but I can't do it any longer because it takes too much time.

Anyone knows any solution?

Thanks a lot!

Bye!

It sounds like you'll need to use a clipping mask. Clip the texture layer to the lines layer below it.

I am not clear on what you want to do BUT PERHAPS you can take a small section of an existing line and turn it into a brush. Then you could simply draw with it as required.

Thank you for the answer! I tried to apply this solution but it haven't been effective because of the brush only is able to paint the whole section. It would be great If I could paint a piece and only that piece of the section would appear.

I'm sorry but it's difficult to put forward what I want, due to I attached these three pictures.

Thank you!

Not sure I understand,,,,, get rid of everything except a small section of the line you have created and then make that a brush.

Thank you very much !!! The last post it's a great idea to do it, I'll do it in this way!

Doing in this way, I can avoid the effect that these textures seems repeated (This is for a 3D texture therefore I have to take into account the realism of the texture and avoid repetitions), but the other system that you told me (make a brush from a part of the texture) it's totally OK because this is a sample but I'll draw more pictures like this, then I can use it to paint some kind of lines.

Thank you very much for all answers!! all have been very useful!
