File types list

Is there a way to remove certain file types from the list that PS handles? In other words, I don't use certain types (eg. JPS, MPO, PCX, etc) in my daily workflow. Having them removed from the file types in the Save As dropdown list would make things more simplified and effiecient. Are these simply plug-in files that I can temporarily "move" out of the way?

you need to keep some of them but you can delete all the 1s in

C> Program files > Adobe > Photoshop> Required> plugins > file format

Thank you for that. However it still leaves 17 file types unaccounted for (still in the list), including JPS, MPO, PCX, SCT, etc. Are these hardcoded and not removable?

I would assume so there maybe something you can do to stop it or rearrange the list order so the most common 1s will be top of the list etc

the other files are probably in a shared library somewhere like extensions manager or common but I cant say 100% or even say it is safe to remove them etc, some may be for saving paths, actns, meshes etc so you dont want to break the program
