Feedback Needed

One thing that I notice right away is that the font you chose for Half Blood makes the letter A in half look too much like the letter O.

I think the navigation links would look good as images instead of text also. Maybe make the titles of them a comic book type font.

It's definitely a nice start and I look forward to seeing the site take shape!

I have been looking for some buttons to use but I agree about the comic style buttons. Thanks for the feedback.

I added some comic style buttons and as soon as I get some pictures from the comic to go by I will ad some more "decor" to the site.

You need to be careful what format are you using to make your site you dont seem to have proper allignment your menu bar changes once you click a link to your "comic style look" also your text at the bottom is a black font and runs of into the black background.

Are you using a psd then slicing it or tables in dreamweaver. looks to me like you are using the traditional conatiners

I think you should paste this into your html code in placement of your text
<p>Darren Frey is the writer of Half Blood. His first published work was The Blood Reapers, a vampire novella released in September, 2011. </p>

<P>Darren Frey's sick and twisted view on reality is what fuels the story of Sarah Graves and her dark world. Darren is a full time graphic and web design student.</p>
<p> He is married to the love of his life and together they are raising their son, Deagon.</p>

You may have to adjust the <p></p> per line break but that should be a good starting point.

Hmm... when I look at it nothing is running off into the black. I set a 0px margin so it would fit all screens (thats what my web instructor told me to do anyway). I am using HTML Validator rather than DW as I cannot seem to figure out how to use it. I will break up my artist bio and you can tell me how it looks to you. I will come back and tell you when Im done.

Ok I made the changes. It does look a little more organized I guess would be the word. I placed all the Century Gpthic text inside a table tag so it wouldn't be going all over the screen and look sloppy.

I would set your page layout to 850 to 1050 px wide tends to be a safer bet than just letting the browser choose.

You could redo it Jquery and have a script for all device optimisation from small screens\browsers and mobile devices.

How do I do that?

I apologize for the noob questions but my professor in school seems to just having us doing the basic stuff and not letting us learn any of the important stuff.

With the simplicity of your site redo it in a psd with your graphics and layout as you want your page to appear.

do a new PSD for each page ie home aboutthe authors contact us etc.

and then put them all in a zip and either post them here or send them to me via email and I will use your site as a tutorial on slicing and converting to HTML .

my reccomended page size would be 1050 X 850 pixels.

I see you have just replied to me via pm however your to late lol.

I apologise my tutorial section is not up yet but here is the tutorial. I will read your email now lol

Here is your site back in a zip I have added you a html form with a .php catch script only basic.

the password is the same as your ftp

and come on organise your site you should have a folder there for your images otherwise you have to wait for all images to load for every page before you can access the home page not a problem while your site is empty it will also keep it tidy for when you update your site etc.

I have sent you a test form at your email redirect as it worked fine for me.

so when your site is back up you need to overwrite your contact page with my contact page and make sure you upload send_form_email.php into the same directory as your html pages DO NOT RENAME THIS OR IT WILL NOT WORK

View attachment vamp site.rar

If you need to change your email subject line you will see it on line 6 in code view of the .php file in red text but make sure you do not change the speech marks or anything else.

Yeah bad news running PHP script on your site is a no go you have to pay for it time to sign up for 000webhost.com

when my java script comes up you will see this error message in the background. I said to you that would be the case.
