Fauvism In Photoshop

Hi

I teach GCSE Photography and I have been asked to support some students who want to take their Landscape Images and use photoshop to make them similar to work created by the fauvists (Matisse and co.)

I wonder if anyone has played with this in Photoshop and can give me some handy hints.

Use come common sense, the average John and Jane has no clue what you are talking about, show some examples and btw... no need to post that question two times on this board...

Wow - dont I feel welcome!!

I have never posted here before and when I left the post I actually considered whether I should say more about what Fauvism is. Then I figured anyone who was interested enough to help me would be able to Google it and see exactly what I was talking about. (Perhaps Jane & John havent heard of Google!) I even mentioned Matisse in a 'by the way' style so that I wasnt insulting anyone by spelling out what Fauvism was. The last thing I wanted to do was appear condescending.

"btw" if you have a look you will see that most people viewed my post in the art category but you replied in this category which shows that it was clearly beneficial to post in two places. Not that your post did anything more than show me what a waste of time it was using this forum. To be honest, I expected better. I hope your response isn't typical of the way people communicate here and I hope someone who likes the idea of helping someone out follows the link below to see a few examples of what Im trying to create.
