Nice effort mate...

Not totally sure the green eye shadow does her any favours though.

I agree, that's one thing I slightly regret..

A model with acne will almost always appreciate having her zits removed. A model with freckles probably will not appreciate having her freckles removed because they are not a temporary condition for her. They will never change and is how the world will always see her (baring some major medical involvement). Besides, many guys love girls with freckles ;-).

Perhaps this was done only as a novelty for the sitter (ie, "Here's how you would look...") or as an exercise for the OP.

FWIW, I would have blended a bit of the original back in with the OP's tweaked version to retain the impression of freckles but de-emphasize them and move away from the Barbie-doll, plastic skin look. The latter might be acceptable in a graphic arts setting (eg, a theatre poster), but not in a photograph.

PS - My experience is that most models will be delighted if you remove the occasional zit or two, but if they have freckles, they don't want them removed. The freckles are part of their appearance and, short of some medical procedure, are going to be with them for the rest of their life, so they don't want their headshots to give a blatantly false impression.
