I need to learn how to extract one image out of the four myself. I have downloaded an image which is made up of 4 banner images and I want to extract one of the images to be used as a website banner, I also need to remove the text within the image, can this be done via photoshop or illustrator? if so what do I need to do? I'm a complete Ps noob so any help would be greatly appreciated, please see the images below

Open your image.

I prefer to set up guidelines to help align the Rectangular Marquis Tool.
(Set to snap. Go to View and check snap. Then go to snap to > guides)

Select your Rectangular Marquis Tool and make a selection around the image of choice.

Now hit Cmd/Cntrl + C to copy the selection.

Go to FILE > NEW
Make sure "Clipboard" appears int the document type window.

A blank document will open in the copied (selections) dimensions.
Hit Cmd/Cntrl + V to paste.

To remove the text.

Use the Rectangular Marquis Tool to make a selection around the text.

Right click on the canvas, and choose "fill"
