Extract filter problem plzzz help

Hey all i am using photoshop 7.01 and when i open the extract filter menu a small black box appears and it follows me all over the scrrreen when i click and hold it stays in place then when i let go it appears where i left off it only does it with the highlight tool anyone with same problem? thx

Hey i got it fixed if anyone is having that problem just turn the shadow off on your mouse cursor
