Im looking for someone to retouch some photos of a friend,
And just wanted to get a few prices, I'd like to start by getting one done, then there is an opportunity for ongoing work.
It would be general retouching makeover style photoshopping.
Want to make what photos she has into model style pictures.

I think everyones idea of retouching is different I work for several photography studios doing post production work and not 1 photographer\ model has the same idea of what they like.

I honestly prefer it to look natural and not touched up even if you have made them magically loose 50 pounds chaged hair colour lips, eyes, and breast size the list goes on.

So my reccomendation would be to post 1 example picture and let people reply to it in the thread and whoevers style and work you like best you would be able to choose from the examples.

Especially if this is for a portfolio. Of course Portfolio work is very specialist and personal to the style of work your going for but they all carry a similar look and proffessionalism so you cant expect miracles if the photos have not been taken by a confident photographer. Trust me I have tried
 
The photos havnt been taken by a proper photographer, Its not really a certain style shes going for, Its more of a what can you do with it?
The photos aren't horrible, but they're no pro shoot.
If someone would consider having a shot at, we can talk from there.

Oh sorry I missed out details of your post scattering from thread to thread at the moment.

So prices here are a good baseline but all depends on experience and reputation.

assuming pictures have already been taken by a photographer with good portfolio knowledge then the retouchers for portfolio will be at an hourly rate of $75 if they are an inhouse retoucher. However This can vary a lot sometimes if it is small jobs they ie less than 3 hours work they may charge a set fee before they even start to do the job which could be $100 fo just taking on the job and then $75 per image or per hour afterwards. These prices are not top end work nor are they the amateur end.

Without knowing what you are planning on using the images for and as you do not seem to want to share an example image then it is hard to say a price without seeing them or knowing how many you want doing, If you want it in a document to take to a printers so you want page layouts etc. So it may be cheaper to pay someone to do all of it at a set fee.

If the images are done on a cell phone in front of a mirror for example then you can not honestly be expecting pro portfolio shots, If images are low quality then realistically the work done to them will look low quality even by pro editors. So really cant expect to charge more than $10- $25 per image.

I can see other people have replied due to nitifications while typing this so some of it may just be ignored.

If you dont want to post images publicly (none Nudity please) then send a link to my PM and I will tell you what I would charge as a ball figure. What other people think they are worth though is down to them.
 
I would also reccomend if your friend is serious about acting, moddelling then they should look at getting a portfolio package done usually between $500 and up some moddelling agencies have agreements with certain photographers etc to offer these at a huge discount and Have known what normally costs $1000 package be done for $100 because the moddeling agency sent down 10 + people for it to be done in 1 day for photographing and a week for the portfolios to be printed.

Packages include usually 1 - 2 hours with a photographer + Post production editing (which should be minimal for portfolios you still have to look the way you do in your pics to be accurate) and usually a set amount of prints or a portfolio built and ready to show to perspective casting agencies. They usually offer a duplicate copy at a discounted price
 
Shes not an actress or a model, she saw me fiddling with photoshop and asked if i could do it.
I said someone on here might be better suited to it.
Just sort of seeing what can be done with the right tools an know how thing.
She just wants some to be done for her partner.
Shes not looking to spend to much money, it was just an idea.
 
well that is totally different depending on how many pics you have and the quality I think you could get the job done for 20 - 50 dollars however if it is 100 pictures then maybe not.

AS I said your better off posting a sample picture or sending 1 to anyone that replies

if noone knows what needs doing then only an idiot would come and post I will do it for x amount without knowing how many and what needs doing But I am sure there will be a price your happy with offered.

They are still looking the OP is sending me some pictures where I will hopefully give them a more accurate quote than I already have.

But honestly you have 2 people here now that will probably do the work cheaper than what I sent you via quotes per image so you may want to see what they can offer.
