Exporting a Multiplied Drop Shadow as a Transparent Image

Hello,

I have been racking my brains to figure out if it is possible to export a multiplied drop shadow into flash via a png/gif.

For instance, if I have a photo that has an image with a drop shadow, and it was taken on a white background, is there any way for me to remove the 'white' aspect from the drop shadow, leaving me with simply the same as a multiply effect over a transparent background. Hence allowing me to export as a gif or png to place over a moving background in flash/html.

I have come up against this more than once and would love to find a solution.
Thanks in advance.

We are moving our camera and photography news from this forum to our articles section. I started posting PhotoPlus Expo news in the new section today and all new press releases and other announcements will be posted there from now on.

If you used a layer style, right click on the f of that layer in the layers palette and select "Create Layer"; this will put each style on a separate layer. Mind you, I don't know if it's useful for your particular case, but I still thought it was worth mentioning. :)
