Eraser tool edge line

The line that is (was) the boundary on my eraser tool is no longer visible. Does anyone know how to get in back. the brush size changes but the edge line is gone, which obviously makes it difficult to erase specific areas.

Any help is much appreciated

Go to Edit|Preferences|Cursors and make your changes.
Also make sure your Caps Lock is off

Let me know how you make out.

I am using CS3 and I dont see a preferences heading under the edit tab and the caps lock is off.

It's there, all the way on the bottom.

You can also try Ctrl+K (Windows) or Control+K (Mac) and go to Cursors

Yeah thats weird my dropdown stops at menu and dos not have preferences, but the shortcut works. thanks a ton. I also learned that I can set my history back further from there. Thanks again
