Have Enough Ram?
Photoshop can tell you if you have enough RAM in your system or not. In the bottom of your document window, where it normally displays the file size, click on the right-facing arrow and choose Efficiency. If the percentage is lower than 75%, you might want to look into an upgrade to speed things up.

That's right Tallat.

And so people know what's happening here and what this special function means in Photoshop... when that number drops below 100%, it means that Photoshop is now using a swap file (on your scratch disk) to do its work. It's no longer using your systems hard ram. Swap file useage is a fair bit slower than 'real' memory.

So if effeciency/speed are an issue with you, install more ram.

:B

Thanks for sharing tallat! :righton: I must keep an eye on that 'efficiency' thing now and then... [innocent]
