Hi infomatrix and welcome. Which part of this effect are you interested in, the top part (trimming) or the bottom (watchdogs)?

they both look kinda similar, do they use different techniques?....i would prefer both if possible please lol :)...if its not too much to ask lol....lets go with the watchdog first lol thank you so much....i truly appreciate it.

Hey IM, these techniques are not that difficult and they are similar.

The Watchdogs text is a combo of two different texts. The top is like a Helvetica Neue Condensed Bold. And I'm not sure what the bottom is yet. I'm looking. The two fonts are then split into upper and lower halves. It also has a sliver removed from the upper font and then moved to the right. All of the above mentioned steps are most likely accomplished with the Rectangular Marquis tool.

If the lower font has to be made..............it would be much more involved.

O---M---G!...wow.... ...that is exacly what i wanted...u just added the little text like normal right?...thank you so much..i appreciate it...you sir....have one hell of an eye....thats perfect...thank you so much

Hi iMatrix, and thanks. I created the effect almost exactly as I had posted before. I just used the Rectangular Marquis Tool to split the two texts in half and then join them. The bottom text is not an exact match for the original "watchdogs" text, but it was close enough. I searched for bitmap an pixel text on Dafont until I found one I liked. This one is called Bit daylong.

The narrow sliver was also made using the RMT. Once I had a selection I just C&P'd (comd/contrl + J) to a new layer and used the move tool to move it to the right.

The small text was easy, I just made them on separate layers so I could move them individually.

The gray squares an rectangles were just a square brush.

If your still interested we can try the next trimming image.
