Effect on image?

Its not worth paying for. Just desaturate the image by pressing ctrl+shift+U. Then pick the gradient tool and a select black to transparent and then draw the gradient on the right side of the image and then duplicate that layer and move it to the left side to keep the size consistent

lxtnsv: The effect is simple. Desaturate the image, followed by Hue/Saturation to add the desired color to the whole scene. And the top it up.

To make the black border for left/right side, create a new layer - use Gradient tool with Black to Transparent - use Linear gradient and add the border from left to right... Duplicate the layer and flip horizontally to add it to the other side too...

Done ... !!! cheers !!!

I always feel desaturating or converting to greyscale are both basic methods that lose colour information. Try and get used to using the black and white adjustment layer..

You are right Inkz, I too use black/white to play with the colors, but I thought the OP was a newbie and gave him a easier option :)
